The Cause of the Earth's Magnetic Field Reversing

Various explanations have been given in the literature and these have not stood the test of time. For example a switching action has been proposed but this one seems to be a one-time action. What is needed is an explanation that would be good for reversing to reversed field and also good for reversing from a normal field to a reversed field. My proposal is to go from a switching action to a thermostatic action.

The thermostatic action involves the heat of the interior of the earth, and then a mechanism would cause a reduction in the internal heat. This cooling effect would persist until another mechanism would cause the cooling to stop and the heating effect to begin. This then constitutes a complete cycle of the earth’s thermostat.

We are presently in the first part of the above cycle where the earth is heating up and this will continue until something happens within the earth. My first explanation is that there is a sphere of electrons within the earth, which will move radially outward due to increase of the internal heat of the earth. As the sphere of electrons move radially outward the relativistic effect would be such that this would cause a decrease in the magnetic field due to electrons. With the added amount of positive charges in the center of the earth due to increase of internal heat, the positive field would then predominate and a reversal could then occur. Now of the two causes for reversal from normal to reversed given (decrease of normal field due to relativistic effects or increase of positive field due to increase of positive charges) my choice is the first.

One result of the heating up of the interior of the earth might be a global warming on the surface due to the "conduction constant" changing from some lower value to its present value of 1.2 microcalories per centimeter squared per second and in the future it might change to an even higher value.

When the heating up of the interior of the earth ceases and the magnetic field has changed to a reversed field and the cooling effect is initiated, this cooling effect will last for hundred of thousands of years. The earth will be in a glacial period with the resulting decrease in the sea level. The cause of the interior of the earth cooling is also given in my book. Finally a mechanism will be initiated which will cause a reversal to normal field and a warming of the earth's interior and surface. This constitutes a complete cycle from normal to reverse then back to normal by thermostatic action.

This heating and cooling of the interior of the earth will have an effect on the surface of the earth, which will be global warming and global cooling as well as magnetic reversing.
